Introduction
India's journey to becoming a developed nation is powered by the energy of its youth and the strength of its scientific institutions.India is at the cusp of a remarkable transformation-rising not only as a global economic force but also as a beacon of innovation, scientific excellence, and technological advancement. This transformation is being powered by our youth, our scientists, and the determination to become a "Viksit Bharat" (A Developed India) by 2047, marking 100 years of our independence, as visualized by our Hon'ble Prime Minister.
The North East Science, Technology & Industrial Expo is a visionary event that brings together the brightest minds, latest innovations and inspire many from across the country- mainly Meghalaya and North East Region, an initiative towards achieving the VIKSIT BHARAT 2047.
This proposed North East Science and Technology & Industrial Expo 2025, is the First Ever of its kind in the NE Region and has been envisioned as more than just an exhibition. It is a movement-a celebration of India's scientific achievements and a platform to inspire students, ignite curiosity, and cultivate innovation, especially among young minds from the Northeast. This initiative seeks to connect traditional wisdom with modern innovation, rural creativity with cutting-edge research, and regional aspirations with national goals, and to put India as the Vishwa Guru.
In the green hills of Meghalaya, where nature and heritage go hand-in-hand, lies an untapped potential for science to thrive. The youth here are full of ideas, energy, and imagination. With the right guidance, exposure, and opportunity, they can become eminent scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of tomorrow. This Expo aims to bridge the gap between aspiration and access--to bring national scientific institutions closer to students, to help rural innovators find recognition, and give educators the tools to build a stronger foundation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Through interactive exhibits, inspiring success stories, hands-on activities, and expert sessions, we aim to plant the seed of scientific thinking in every participant.
By encouraging students from Meghalaya and across the Northeast to actively participate, share ideas, and engage with experts, this event aims to spark a chain reaction of learning, creativity, and problem-solving. It is an invitation to dream big, think differently and become part of India's unstoppable trajectory towards the Development and Success.
This North East Science Expo will inspire Youngsters to understand the Indian Scientific Advancements in various sectors like Defense, Space, Nuclear Energy, Agriculture, Health, Biotechnology and Life Sciences; IT, and many other sectors; and there by create enthusiasm amongst them to pursue careers in these areas and make them mighty force to work for a VIKSIT BHARAT, A great Vison and Mission put by Hon'ble Prime Minister.
To connect students and educators with scientists, technocrats, and organizations such as ISRO, DRDO, MOES, DAE, BARC, CSIR, MEITY, DST, ICAR, MOEF & CC, ICMR and DBT and many Other Top Organizations for mentorship, guidance, and future collaboration. Special Pavilions will be dedicated to the Technologies in North East Region and Meghalaya.
